From slate to screen: primary learning building interactive heritage resources through 360° and green screen tools

A case study from the Welsh Collaborative for Learning Design, funded by the Welsh Government, on using 360° cameras, green screen, and online immersive space tools to build a digital “heritage time capsule” with a Welsh primary school.

Working in collaboration with Wrexham University and the National Slate Museum in Llanberis, the project set out to keep the museum’s story accessible to learners during its three-year restoration closure. The aim was to use new and emerging technologies to deepen pupils’ connection to their local history while developing their skills under the Digital Competence Framework.
